Our contemporary stair and guard rails generally consist of a tubular hand rail approximately 40 mm in diameter together with rails or bars running parallel to the hand rail. These rails can be made from various materials such as 12 or 14 mm diameter bars or stainless steel cables, etc.

The balusters also come in various forms, such as round or square tubes or single or double flats, providing numerous design alternatives.
The section of the spindles is reduced at their connection to the handrail to avoid large joints which could be unsightly.

The different materials we use also give us great creative freedom . Our stair and guard rails are made either from stainless steel or mild steel, or a combination of these, sometimes combined with glass or wood or stainless steel cables. Steel balustrade and guard rail elements always pass through the paint booth where they receive an enamel paint finishing coat. In addition to the standard RAL colour range, we also have a large, exclusive choice of patinas and architectural paint finishes that we have designed especially to reflect the true spirit of this style of decorative metalwork

Particular care is taken in the making and finishing of our contemporary architectural metalwork elements. The pure lines and sober design and style are totally unforgiving of unsightly welds, poorly formed hand rail connections or other defects of any kind.
